Omarely Torres, CNA – November Employee Spotlight

McCamey County Hospital Emergency Department

At McCamey County Hospital District, delivering trusted emergency care means having the right people in the right place — and Omarely Torres is one of those people. As a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Emergency Department, Omarely brings skill, calm, and compassion to every shift, ensuring that patients and their families feel safe and supported during some of life’s most difficult moments.

“Omarely has always been the sweetest and most reserved person I’ve worked with in the ED,” shared Orlando Villanueva, RN, ED director. “She is also one of the hardest working employees on staff. Her presence and attitude make the workplace enjoyable and peaceful. She has a great future ahead, and I look forward to her continued employment here at MCHD.”

Omarely is one of many dedicated professionals who make McCamey’s Emergency Department a dependable, high-quality provider of trauma and emergency care. Our ED team is known for fast, expert response — close to home and centered on community. Our team-based approach to care means patients can be treated and discharged or admitted for inpatient care quickly and patients needing to be transferred to a higher level of care can be stabilized appropriately and positioned for successful transfer.

“Omarely is known for her compassionate care, positive attitude, and strong sense of teamwork,” added Kristen Upchurch, RN, BSN, chief nursing officer. “She always ensures patients receive the highest level of care and comfort. Her gentle nature and dependable work ethic make her a valued member of the nursing team and a true asset to MCHD.”

At McCamey County Hospital District, we are proud to shine a light on the team members who make our ER a safe, trusted place for care — and proud to call Omarely one of them.
